10% Tuition Discount

As a Learning Partner, OSHAcademy students who complete and purchase a qualifying OSHAcademy program can receive a 10% tuition discount and exclusive scholarship opportunities at CSU. This represents a potential tuition savings* of $1,470 for an associates (AS) degree, $2,940 for a bachelors (BS) degree, and $1,206 for a masters (MS) degree.

CSU & OSHAcademy Articulation Agreement

Columbia Southern University (CSU) and OSHAcademy established an articulation agreement that allows OSHAcademy students who have completed and purchased certificates for a qualifying program to apply OSHAcademy training as transfer credits to CSU.

Course Equivalency/General Notes
  • If multiple major certificates or intermediate certificates are submitted, courses will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis to account for the overlap of OSHAcademy courses in granting credit.
  • Direct transfer credit for a CSU course requires the transfer course to be a minimum of 3 semester hours and credit may only transfer in multiples of 3 semester hours for the Program Electives category.
  • Program Electives application dependent upon program director approval.
  • Credit awarded is subject to degree requirements at the time of enrollment and the current transfer credit policy, which are subject to change.
  • Duplicate transfer credit is not permissible.
  • CSU is in the process of converting to new course numbers.
Columbia Southern University Scholarships

CSU Safety Scholarship

Columbia Southern University is offering two scholarships to any person that is a current CSU Occupational Safety and Health student or plans to enroll in an OSH degree. Each scholarship will cover up to $13,500 in one online degree program. The scholarship will be applied directly to the recipient's tuition for up to three years or until the completion of the selected online degree program, whichever comes first.

CSU Safety Scholarship Information

Accredited Degree Programs

Columbia Southern University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate, baccalaureate, master’s and doctorate degrees, and certificates. CSU is licensed by the Alabama Department of Postsecondary Education.

The Board of Certified Safety Professionals recognizes CSU degrees for both the CSP application and for credit towards recertification in the Continuance of Certification program.

CSU offers many services to their students. Services include no application fee, no evaluation fee, complimentary tutoring, and flexible or structured enrollment systems. All textbooks are provided at no cost through a CSU book grant.

Tips for Foreign Students
  • All CSU classes are taught in English, so you must be able to read and write English well to succeed.
  • To do your complementary evaluation for possible transfer credit, CSU will need a copy of your high school transcript or equivalent.
  • If you have college credit from a school outside of the USA, we will need an official copy of that transcript.
  • If your transcript is in a foreign language, we will need a National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) evaluation of that transcript.
  • If you transcript is in English or has been previously translated into English, a NACES evaluation may still be required. Your admissions counselor will provide you with additional details.
  • Job Training classes (OSHAcademy classes, OSHA training, etc.) will also be evaluated for possible college credit.
