Here’s why a process needs to be followed when spaces within buildings are modified from the original design.
In this case, a department needed some partitions and hired a contractor for the job. “Their workers were in and out very quickly, and their work shows it,” our contributor writes. “As it was summertime and attention was focused elsewhere, the project was finished before any of the obvious concerns could be pointed out.”
And so they are now the proud owners of a strobe/audible alarm that is hereafter going to earn only half its keep, because nobody can see it.
