Just Plug In That Thing Anywhere

Here are a couple of electro-idiocies sent in by alert contributors. The tingler at left is from a Mexican construction site. “If it is dangerous enough to plug the wires directly, try soaking all the components and see what happens!” our correspondent wrote.
The other photo, from Arizona, shows some power cords set up by a company that stages professional events. The wiring shown lead to large outdoor speaker system.
If we could commandeer that system for a minute, this would be the broadcast: “Now hear this! Now hear this! A power strip isn’t an extension cord! A bare wire isn’t a plug!”
