OSHA Compliance

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires employers to ascertain that each employee involved in operating a process has received and understood the training required in that role and industry. The employer is also required to prepare a record which contains the identity of the employee, the date of training, and the means used to verify that the employee understood the training. When you purchase OSHAcademy's certificate packages and your employees complete a program or course, you receive the documentation needed to help meet OSHA's training documentation requirements.

As a direct result of my education I acquired from your programs, I was hired as a Safety Supervisor on January 1st, 2015, and promoted 1 month later to Safety Manager at a major steel transmission pole and telecommunication tower manufacturing company. Unknown to me at the time, a buy-out was in the works with another company based out of Loredo, TX.

In February the Safety Manager and I met with the new Safety Management team to discuss the merger. The new company chose to adopt the 21 JSA's that I had produced at that time (I have 38 now, with Spanish & Vietnamese translations) to be implemented in every facility. This along with several other improvements that had made since I was hired gave them a much better position regarding "decisions and control", something management was concerned about.

Last month OSHA arrived for a surprise visit and expressed amazement at the Safety Culture, mostly the borders for electrical outlets, and warning labels being placed. She complimented the Plant on it's obvious concern and efforts for the Safety of its employees. No violations were noted and rather than any citations for violations we received commendations.
