Tree care companies provide services such as pruning, removal, plant health care, cabling and bracing, transplanting, consulting, fertilization, and lightning protection. Many hazards in the tree care industry are potentially fatal. Overhead power lines, falling branches, and faulty safety equipment are just a few of the dangers.

According to the Tree Care Industry Association, in 2016 there were 26 fatalities caused by falls, 26 fatalities caused by a worker being struck by an object, 23 fatalities caused by electric shock/burn, and 9 fatalities caused by a worker being caught in/under an object. Overall, there were 92 fatalities, 46 serious injuries, and 15 minor injuries reported. Clearly, safety training is a must for your employees.
